Calling all moms and dads who wish to have their family featured in a fashion show and at the same time win an appliance showcase!

As part of its 10th anniversary, Electrolux launches their Colors of Life campaign for its Fabric Care category through a fun, family photo contest entitled, Family Style Shots. In this contest, they are inviting everyone to send in a photo featuring their family members (at least 1 adult and 1 child). Only the immediate family (mother, father, siblings and may extend to grandparents) of the entrant can be featured in the submitted photo entry wearing their most stylish ensemble. Submission of entries is until September 2, 2012.

The top 20 will be selected for public voting and the winners will get to receive a Fabric Care appliance showcase and will be featured in the Colors of Life Fair Fashion Show to be held sometime in October.

Vote for Wok-A-Holic Star, Win a gift from Electrolux

Who among the 14 finalists will be the Electrolux Wok-A-Holic Kitchen Star?

If there is one thing in me that I really want to improve, it's my cooking skill.

Well, I am not really a bad cook but I just want to explore more dishes beyond frying. I am an expert on scrambled eggs, a guru on any fried fish and the Jedi Master of lechon kawali.  Any dish that requires mixing more than two ingredients, I need a cook book beside me if you want an edible serving when I came out of the kitchen.

That's why I'm beginning to love watching cooking show on TV. And what a treat when I was invited to the Electrolux Wok-A-Holic Kitchen Star boot camp/ cooking competition held at Walter Mart North Edsa where I met all the 14 finalists who are cutting, chopping and slicing their way in to win the title. (I just hope you love the use of words in that last sentence). 

Astig chefs meet Astig Machimis

Even though I was just watching on the sideline and not actually a participant of the boot camp, I learned new tip and tricks from top celebrity chefs Bruce Lim, Jonathan Bautista and Rosebud Benitez. That's why, when I grow up I want to be a chef, too. :)

Among the participants, I am personally rooting for Belinda Custodio who just reminds me of my mom in many ways.  She has an ala-Maalaala Mo Kaya story to tell but I need not mention it since I believe that her perseverance to win will be her key to the cooking challenge.

She sums up why she loves to cook with a soon-to-be-classic line worthy of a sequence in any of the primetime soap opera, "Kung mahal mo ang iyong pamilya, mahalin mo ang pagluluto."

Electrolux gives 12 participants the chance to be part of a culinary boot camp and compete for the title of Wok-A-Holic Kitchen Star.

As part of its exciting list of activities lined-up in celebration of its 10th Anniversary, Electrolux is once again calling on all culinary enthusiasts as they launch the 3rd Wok-A-Holic cooking competition!

With this year’s theme, Wok-A-Holic Kitchen Star, Electrolux is searching for 12 participants who will cook their way to the top and win the grand prize which includes a culinary scholarship from CCA Manila, an Electrolux kitchen showcase and gifts from this year’s Wok-A-Holic partners.

Open to all amateur cooks, Wok-A-Holic will hold a Kitchen Star Boot Camp for its Top 12 participants featuring Wok-A-Holic judge and celebrity chef, Chef Bruce Lim as headmaster. In this 2-day boot camp, Chef Bruce Lim along with Chef Jonathan Bautista and Chef Rosebud Benitez will teach the 12 contenders kitchen tips and tricks as well as test their skills through various cooking challenges, to prepare them for the Grand Wok-A-Holic Cook Off.

Mapanghingi ka ba? Readers win Kitchen Showcase

One of the best feeling that anyone can experience is the joy of winning.

Whether it's cash from a raffle draw or a gadget from an online promotion, the happiness of being "I'm lucky today!" is such a moment worth reminiscing that you wish for more to come.

It could actually happen this Christmas and it’s not Santa Clause who’ll gonna give all these cool gifts to you--- It’s the friendly Electrolux man who will knock on your door with special Christmas surprises just for you? Here's how you can make that happen!

The popular Electrolux "Knock On Your Door" jingle is back! It's fun, catchy and will have you singing along! Have some fun with us by singing your own version by yourself, or with family and friends! Take a video and share it with everyone. Who knows – it could become viral!

STEP 1 Like The Little White Book page on Facebook and click on the Knock on Your Door Video Challenge tab. Listen and learn the Knock On Your Door jingle. You can also find it on the ElectroluxPH YouTube account as well as electroluxman.com for download.

STEP 2 Come up with your very own rendition of the jingle in the most creative way you can think of. Then, take a video of your production.

STEP 3 Visit electroluxman.com and register online by providing your contact information and uploading your video from November 3 to December 11, 2011. Video entries (in 3gp or mp4 format) must be of a minimum length of 30 seconds and a maximum length of 2 minutes, not exceeding 20MB.

Q: How many people can appear in the video? Can I use props or special effects in my video?

A: A minimum of one person needs to appear in the video but you can choose to have as many people as you'd like appear in it. Yes, you can use props and effects in the video too.

Q: Can I submit more than one video?

A: You may register as many videos as you want. In the event that the winning video is registered to more than one name, the person who submits the video first will be considered the recipient of the prize.

Q: Who can join the Knock On Your Door Video Challenge?

A: This contest is open to all creative minds and talented performers, both amateur and professional, nationwide.

When making your video, feel free to make a production of it. Use props, costumes and effects that will help tell your story.

Q: What if a winner resides outside of Metro Manila? How will he or she receive his/her prizes?

A: If a chosen winner happens to be residing outside the Metro Manila area, the prize package will be delivered to the winner's home by the logistics company servicing Electrolux in their area. The delivery of prizes will occur within 60 days from receipt of notification.

Important:

Winners must present 2 valid IDs (SSS, Driver’s License or other government-issued ID) and a copy of the registered mail/e-mail in order to claim their prizes.
