Wanted: 5 Dads who deserve a Php 10,000 shopping spree each

Father's day is still a month away but you might want to plan ahead to give him a very special celebration this year. How about a Php 10,000-worth of shopping spree at Robinsons Mall for FREE.

The Philippine Star and Robinsons Mall is looking for the five (5) daddies who deserve this special treat in their Daddy's Cool! promotion. Calling all sons and daughters to join this contest.  Just tell in 200 words or less why your dad means the world to you.

Send your entries to daddyscool@philstar.com.ph with a photo of your father doing what he does best (talent, skill, or hobby) from May 20 to June 3, 2012.  Include your name, age, address, contact nos. and the name and age of your dad.

Just one important note: Senders and their dad, in case they win, must make themselves available during the prize turnover on June 8 (Friday). All winning daddies will be featured in the June 17 (Father's day) issue of the Philippine Star.

Last year, fellow blogger Vance Madrid of www.purpleplumfairy.blogspot.com won the Mother's day edition of this contest.  Fortunately, my Nanay also won this year in what I consider a very generous promotion from Robinsons Malls and their affiliated shops.  I hope another fellow blogger or one of my readers win this thing as well.

Can you describe your dad in 300 words or less?

Well, make sure it's creative, heart-warming and touching because Philippine Star and Robinsons is giving away a P10,000 shopping spree to six lucky dads. What's great is that you can choose what your dad will win:

Snapshots of Love Photo Contest

In a way, this promotions sponsored by Hallmark Greeting Cards can be considered as a Mother's Day and Father's Day contest combined into one.

The contest is open to all photographers (professional or nonprofessional) residing in the Philippines, a Filipino citizen aged 10 years old and above. The theme of the contest is "Hallmark Snapshots of Love". Photos can be pictures of parents or images representative of parenthood or families. Each entry should include a a father or a mother or both with their child/ren

You can upload your entries online or drop them in drop boxes located in participating stores. Take note that each entry should be accompanied by a valid receipt of a Hallmark Mother's Day or Father's Day card dated April 16 to June 27, 2010.
